City begins documenting historic resources of South Salem!
In early 2019, the City began surveying the historic buildings, landscapes and objects of South Salem. With help from a preservation consultant, the project will culminate in approximately 100 historic resources documented on inventory forms. These forms will include current photographs, historic images, architectural descriptions and historic significance statements. The project was partially funded by a Survey & Planning Grant from the Massachusetts Historical Commission. Planning Staff will meeting with the South Salem Neighborhood Association in March to provide information about the project and to seek historic images and information on buildings in the area.
