Saturday, June 9th: Artist, Authors and Poets tour of Greenlawn Cemetery                            10 am, meet at the Dickson Memorial Chapel on Orne Street. Chapel will be open 9:30am to 1pm

Saturday, June 9th: Clean up day at Salem Cemeteries                                                          Join local volunteers at Charter Street, Howard Street and Broad Street Burial Grounds

Sunday, June 17th: Father's Day Trip to Bakers Island                                                      Join Essex Heritage for a 2.5 hour trip to Bakers Island. For more information and to purchase tickets please visit the Essex Heritage website here 

Tuesday, June 19th: Historic Window Workshop 6:30-8:30pm at Old Town Hall                    Meet window experts and learn how "restore and repair" is a possible and a sustainable choice. Saturday, July 7th: Enduring Hawthorne: A Marathon Reading of The Scarlet Letter                    Join the National Park Service, The House of the Seven Gables, Essex Heritage and the Salem Athenaeum for a daylong reading of The Scarlet Letter. Begins at 9am at Derby Wharf - public participation encouraged! Other events include tours of the Custom House and a craft table where visitors can make their own scarlet letter. Email gavin_gardner@nps.gov by June 15th if you would like to volunteer to be a reader.
